PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in strength at a fixing part such as a welding part which can happen in fixing an expanding and contracting sheet and a low-extensible sheet by sandwiching with a protrusion part and a face part that is larger than the protrusion part.SOLUTION: An apparatus is configured to fix an expanding and contracting sheet transported in a transporting direction and a low-extensible sheet with extensibility lower than that of the expanding and contracting sheet through a plurality of fixing parts while overlapping them in a thickness direction. The apparatus includes: a rotating member which has a plurality of protrusion parts on an outer peripheral surface for forming the plurality of the fixing parts and rotates in the transporting direction; and a sandwiching member which is disposed in a prescribed position in a rotating direction of the rotating member and forms the fixing part by sandwiching the expanding and contracting sheet and the low-extensible sheet by a face part that is larger than a top face of the protrusion part and the cooperating protrusion part when the protrusion part passes through the prescribed position. At the position where the expanding and contracting sheet and the low-extensible sheet are sandwiched by cooperation of the sandwiching member and the rotating member, the low-extensible sheet is positioned between the expanding and contracting sheet and the top face of the protrusion part of the rotating member. |
