PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material for food addition which can promote intracerebral release of monoamines, including dopamine and noradrenaline and thereby imparts a function of preventing cerebral diseases and a function of improving the cerebral function to a food when added to a food.SOLUTION: To produce a food for prevention of cerebral diseases or a food for improvement of cerebral functions, an oligopeptide mixture containing a dipeptide or a tripeptide containing tyrosine or phenylalanine as constituent amino acids is used as a food additive.
