PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irregular-shaped steel wire coil having very high dimensional precision over a full length, a manufacturing method for an irregular-shaped steel wire having very high dimensional precision over a full length, and a manufacturing apparatus for the irregular-shaped steel wire.SOLUTION: An irregular-shaped steel wire coil, configured of a multilayer alignment of an irregular-shaped steel wire in a non-circular cross sectional shape, is equipped with the following characteristics. The thickness of the irregular-shaped steel wire is 1 mm or more, the length of the irregular-shaped steel wire is 1 km or more, and the thickness allowance over the full length of the irregular-shaped steel wire is ±0.01 mm or more. The cross sectional shape of the irregular-shaped steel wire can be exemplified by one selected from among a track shape, a rectangular shape, a trapezoidal shape, a pentagonal shape, an elliptical shape, a rhomboidal shape, a barrel shape, a round nonuniform edge trapezoidal shape, and a dome shape. |
