<p>An information storage apparatus including a storage unit is configured to store an encrypted content and a corresponding decryption key. The storage unit includes a protected area to which access restrictions are set and in which a converted decryption key acquired through conversion of the decryption key is stored. The storage unit also includes a general-purpose area storing the encrypted content and a corresponding encrypted content signature file containing, as a recorded data item, a block identifier indicating the areas in the protected area where storage of the converted decryption key is permitted, in order to enable a reproducing apparatus which is configured to read the encrypted content from the storage unit and execute a reproducing process to determine whether content reproduction is permitted by applying the block identifier.</p> |
