<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm pump so adapted that abrasion powder caused by a motor brush is not let out from a discharge port together with fluid, while, on top of it, noise countermeasures have been provided thereon. <P>SOLUTION: A silencing chamber 9A into which the expansion of a pump chamber 18 allows a fluid taken in from an inlet 17e to flow in is provided in a diaphragm holder 8 that retains a diaphragm 11. The fluid that has flowed into the silencing chamber 9A passes through a take-in hole 13c via another silencing chamber, and flows into the pump chamber 18. Then, the shrinking of the pump chamber 18 brings the fluid in the pump chamber 18 to be passed through a discharge hole 13e onto a pressurization object through the discharge port 17c.
