NEGATIVE ELECTRODE STRUCTURE, AIR BATTERY ARRANGED BY USE THEREOF, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NEGATIVE ELECTRODE STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem of conventional negative electrode structures that they have difficulties of cutting the manufacturing cost and reducing the weight because of their negative electrode current collectors arranged by use of a costly metal having corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: A negative electrode structure 1 used for an air battery C using a water-soluble electrolytic solution 2 as an electrolyte comprises: a negative electrode metal 11 provided on the side of the electrolyte; a negative electrode current collector 12 provided on the side opposite to the electrolyte; a conductive filler; and a junction layer 13 including a hydrophobic resin and connecting between the negative electrode metal 11 and the negative electrode current collector 12. Thus, it becomes possible to use an inexpensive and light-weight metal for the negative electrode current collector 12, whereby the cutting of the manufacturing cost and the reduction in weight can be achieved.
