PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work-piece shape detection accuracy.SOLUTION: A work shape measurement system includes: a holding device for holding a sheet-like work-piece; a detection device arranged so as to be separated by a predetermined distance from the work-piece held by the holding device and detecting the shape of the work-piece; and a movement device for moving at least one of the detection device and the holding device in order to move a work-piece detection range of the detection device along the work-piece holding surface of the holding device. The holding device includes: multiple holding units; and movement mechanisms for moving the respective holding units between a holding position for holding the work-piece and a retreat position separated from the work-piece. The movement mechanism moves the holding unit positioned within the work-piece detection range to the retreat position linked with the movement of at least one of the detection device and the holding device by the movement device.
