PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutoff wavelength measurement method of an optical fiber that enables stabilization of reproducibility in measurement of a cutoff wavelength by a multimode reference method.SOLUTION: A cutoff wavelength measurement method of an optical fiber comprises: a reference measurement step for measuring wavelength characteristics of transmission light power while a minute bending 2 is applied to a reference multimode optical fiber 1; a step of measuring a measurement object optical fiber for measuring wavelength characteristics of transmission light power of a measurement object optical fiber 5; and a cutoff wavelength calculation step for calculating a cutoff wavelength of the measurement object optical fiber 5 on the basis of a wavelength characteristics of a ratio between the wavelength characteristics of the transmission light power of the multimode optical fiber 1 and the wavelength characteristics of the transmission light power of the measurement object optical fiber 5.
