PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to extract a desired record from a journal that exceeded the latest one year and for which index information does no longer exist.SOLUTION: A journal management device comprises file creation means, index creation means, file saving means, and past journal output means. The file creation means puts the data of an electronic journal into a file for each transaction, determines, as the name of the file, a character string including one or more of identification information that is made a search condition, and has the file kept safe by a first storage unit. The index creation means creates index information to the file on the basis of the data of the electronic journal, and has the created information stored in a database. The file saving means moves the file whose safekeeping period in the first storage unit has expired to a second storage unit, and deletes the index information to the file. The past journal output means accepts one or more designations of identification information included in the name as a condition for search of the file stored in the second storage unit, and outputs the contents of the file that conforms to the search condition in a row. |
