<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an appropriate laser beam machining to a workpiece having defective appearance without affecting adversely other workpieces when applying laser beam machining to the defective appearance workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a machining device for applying a predetermined machining to a workpiece having defective appearance in a lead frame substrate 200 on which a plurality of workpieces are arranged in m rows and n lines. The lead frame substrate 200 is covered with a first cover 130 in such a way that a row in which an object workpiece of machining exists is exposed, the first cover 130 having an opened window enabling one row of the m rows to be exposed. The lead frame substrate 200 is then covered with a second cover 140 in such a way that n workpieces existing in the row exposed by the first cover 130 are exposed individually, the second cover 140 having n opened windows enabling the n workpieces existing in an optional row to be exposed individually and, moreover the lead frame substrate 200 is covered with a shutter 150 in such a way that the object workpiece of machining is exposed. The predetermined portion of the object workpiece of machining is machined by a laser beam with a laser beam generating device 170 while the object workpieces of machining is covered with the shutter 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
