PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can reduce rolling resistance without impairing road noise proof performance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises a tread 4, a pair of sidewalls 6, a pair of beads 12, a carcass 14, and a belt 16. The belt 16 is laminated on the carcass 14 at the inside of a radial direction or the tread 4, a ratio (BW/RW) of a width BW of the belt 16 with respect to a grounding width RW of the pneumatic tire 2 is not smaller than 1.15, the belt 16 contains a large number of cords which are aligned in parallel with one another, and the product of the density (ends/5 cm) of the cord and a cross section area (mmof the cord is not smaller than 2.80 (mm.ends/5 cm), and not larger than 5.00(mm.ends/5 cm). |
