setting power and performance settings for the DSD; querying a state of the host; configuring the DSD based on the power and performance settings and the state of the host; intercepting a host-initiated power management (HIPM) command; evaluating, by the host, the intercepted HIPM command based on the power and performance settings for the DSD; and cancelling or altering the HIPM command in accordance with the evaluation of the HIPM command. |
