PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for removing undesirable elements from blood.SOLUTION: A system includes: a centrifuge separation bowl to separate blood into components according to relative densities of the components; a pump to provide washing solution that washes the blood in the centrifuge separation bowl; and a controller to wash the blood in the centrifuge separation bowl in a first wash and remove first undesirable elements and to wash the blood in the centrifuge separation bowl in a second wash and remove captured undesirable elements. The controller further mixes the blood and the wash solution in the centrifuge separation bowl and generates diluted blood, separates the diluted blood into concentrated blood and the wash solution, fills the centrifuge separation bowl with previously concentrated blood to form a soft film, and empties the centrifuge separation bowl of the concentrated blood and the previously concentrated blood after the soft film is acquired. |
