PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sense of localization of a sound image at a position deviated from a media plane of a listener to left or to right.SOLUTION: A trans-aural processing section performs predetermined trans-aural processing using sound source reverse side HRTF and sound source side HRTF on an input signal, thereby generating a first acoustic signal and a second acoustic signal in which, among bands where a notch appears in the sound source reverse side HRTF, components in a lowest first band and a next lowest second band are attenuated in a predetermined first frequency or higher. An auxiliary signal combination section adds a first auxiliary signal formed from a component in a predetermined band of the second acoustic signal to the first acoustic signal, thereby generating a third acoustic signal. The present technology may be applicable to e.g., an AV amplifier. |
