PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintering apparatus and a sintering method which give a sintered product reduced in variation of characteristics without electrification of an excessive pulse current.SOLUTION: A sintering apparatus includes discharge plasma sintering means of compressing a powder raw material in a molding die 11 which is mounted in a quartz chamber 12 formed by arranging carbon felt 13 inside a quartz tube, by using a vertical punch, and sintering by electrifying a pulse current and an induction heating coil 19 outside the quartz chamber 12 as means of high-frequency induction heating of the molding die or the powder raw material.
