PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a measurement system appropriately.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes a photographic processing section 51, a state transition discriminating section 53, and a display control section 52. The photographic processing section 51 identifies a measurement system for automatic focus adjustment or automatic exposure adjustment. When an identified measurement system is spot measurement for measuring a limited measurement range in a captured image, the state transition discriminating section 53 determines whether or not a transition from a state displaying a live view to a state for making the limited measurement range changeable is required, depending on whether or not predetermined conditions are satisfied. When a determination is made that a transition is required, the display control section 52 performs the processing for transiting to a state for making the limited measurement range changeable. |
