<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more effective technique for dissolving poor electric conduction caused by deposit adhered to a conduction roll.SOLUTION: A method of surface-treating a metallic strip includes a water scattering step of scattering water on a conduction roll which is arranged on the side of the inlet and/or the outlet of an electrolytic treatment tank of a surface treatment installation for carrying out surface treatment while carrying the metal strip and a surface treatment step of surface-treating the metal strip. The scattered water has a pH of 6.5-8.0. In the water scattering step, water is preferably scattered onto the metal strip so that the electrolyte concentration in recovered water is a half or lower of the electrolyte concentration in the electrolytic treatment tank, in recovering water adhered to the surface of the metal strip.</p> |
