Provided is an absorbent article which can be manufactured by a simple manufacturing process and which makes it possible for a wearer to raise the leg-side gather. This absorbent article (1) is provided with an absorbent body (40) having wide parts (41) positioned at both ends of the absorbent article in the length direction, and narrow parts (42) positioned more inwards in the length direction than the wide parts. Part of leg-side elastic members (33) is arranged further outside in the width direction than the narrow parts of the absorbent body. An absorbent main body and an exterior body are bonded further inwards in the width direction than the outside edge in the width direction of the wide parts, and in the outside edge in the width direction of the narrow parts of the absorbent body. The exterior body is provided with leg-encircling rear elastic members (5R) which are arranged across the outside edges in the width direction of the narrow part and which causes to contract in the width direction the region where the exterior body and the absorbent main body are bonded. |
