PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device of a metal strip capable of effectively restraining a coating defect such as an overcoat and no-coat of a metal strip width end part caused by preparatory coating when regularly coating, by preparatorily coating on the metal strip.SOLUTION: A coating device of a metal strip regularly coats paint by a roll coater on a preparatorily coated metal strip under surface in the next place, by preparatorily coating the metal strip under surface of continuously traveling by using a precoat nozzle having an opening part for jetting the paint. In the coating device of the metal strip, the precoat nozzle is provided with a pressing mechanism for adjusting a height position of the precoat nozzle in at least both width end parts under the precoat nozzle by covering the opening part of at least both width end parts with a paint absorption material of soaking out the paint. |
