PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of generating an image that can achieve refocus function of a high resolution image or video, while maintaining the spatial resolution of a high resolution image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus generating a light field image, representing the intensity of a light beam at the position of each pixel for each direction of travel of the light beam, from a processed image becoming a light field image, includes a high resolution light field image generating section for generating a high resolution light field image that is a light field image for the processed image, by using the processed image, and a reference light field image representing the intensity of a light beam in the same scene as the processed image, with a spatial resolution lower than that of the processed image for each direction of travel of the light beam. |
