PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner capable of making a rate of generation of a low-quality image lower than ever by stopping image scanning when detecting misregistration of a scanning sensor.SOLUTION: When variation of a position of a pattern determined from a position of a pattern detected from an image of a first line by a misregistration detection part 221 and a position of a pattern detected from an image of each of subsequent lines by the misregistration detection part 221 exceeds a threshold α, a stop control part 222 controls a DC motor 201 to stop a reading operation of a CIS sensor 206 or stop transportation of a document. |
