PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect a power supply switch of a proportional valve, adjusting the supply amount of fuel, from getting out of order.SOLUTION: A combustion apparatus includes a proportional valve which has its opening variably controlled so as to adjust the supply amount of fuel to a combustion part, a driving circuit for the proportional valve, and a control part which controls the driving circuit. The driving circuit connects, in series, a power supply switch which switches to supply electric power to the driving circuit and to stop supplying the electric power, a proportional valve coil (23) for varying the opening of the proportional valve, a current adjustment part which varies the amount of a current flowing to the proportional valve coil, and a detection terminal (26) for detecting the current flowing to the proportional valve coil. On receiving an operation start instruction, the control part outputs a switching instruction for stopping the supply to the power supply switch, outputs a current command to the current adjustment part, and determines that the power supply switch gets out of order from a detection current from the detection terminal in the output state of those instructions. |
