The present invention relates to a high density electrode for an electric double layer capacitor and a manufacturing method thereof. The high density electrode includes: a penetration-type Al sheet; first hollow-type protrusion parts which protrude to one side of the penetration-type Al sheet; second hollow-type protrusion parts which protrude to the other side of the penetration-type Al sheet; a first active material sheet which is bonded to one side of the penetration-type Al sheet; and a second active material sheet which is bonded to the other side of the penetration-type Al sheet.
