An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes: a main assembly to which an open portion is provided; a tray which is formed to arrange a cartridge for forming an image on an upper portion thereof and can move through the open portion between an image forming location where the cartridge is used to form an image inside the main assembly and an installation and distillation location where the cartridge is exposed to the outside of the main assembly and can be installed on and uninstalled from the outside of the main assembly; a door for opening and closing the open portion; and an accommodating member for accommodating a recording medium used to form an image. The door supports the tray when the tray is placed on the installation and uninstallation location. The accommodating member supports the door. |
