PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to reduce the time before print out for a print job received in a sleep state, when a storage device, such as an HDD, is unmounted.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 10 in sleep state, on receipt of data from a PC 90, an image analysis section 24 transmits notification to a main controller 20 in a stage before completing image data for the first page and a stage where the first image object is generated. When no HDD 72 is mounted, the main controller 20 performs print preparation processing in response to the notification, or warning up a fixing section 38 of a print engine 30. |
