<p>The invention relates to an automatic vehicle clutch control with a hydraulically operated clutch. When the accelerator pedal is released, the clutch is automatically disengaged with the aid of a cylinder-piston unit (4). The cylinder-piston unit (4) is controlled in each case via a parallel-connected throttle valve (12) or two-way valve (9). When the first or reverse gear is selected, or at low vehicle speed, the throttle valve (12) controls the cylinder-piston unit (4), by means of which the clutch progressively closes. When the second or a higher gear is selected, or above a particular higher vehicle speed, the two-way valve (9) controls the cylinder-piston unit (4), by means of which the clutch is opened and closed suddenly. In this way, sensitive gear-changing and starting is just as possible as the so-called intermittent driving mode, in which acceleration phases, with the engine driving, alternate with drive-free freewheeling phases. The intermittent driving mode leads to high fuel savings. <IMAGE></p> |
