PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device of a writing instrument capable of forming an image over a wide area of an outer peripheral surface.SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises a support unit 10 for supporting a writing instrument 1 being an image formation object, rotational driving means 20 for rotating the writing instrument 1 supported by the support unit 10 around its axis, a laser beam irradiation unit 40 for radiating a laser beam 42 outputted by a pulse from a laser light source 41 by scanning in the axial direction of the writing instrument 1 and control means 60 for performing control so as to form an image by the laser beam 42 on an outer peripheral surface of the writing instrument 1, by controlling the laser beam irradiation unit 40 so as to radiate the laser beam 42 to the outer peripheral surface of the writing instrument 1 by scanning in the axial direction, by controlling the rotational driving means 20 so as to rotate the writing instrument 1 around its axis. |
