<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for dry prevention maintenance of a cap member internal absorber. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid ejection device includes: a recording head 31 including a nozzle part; a cap member 82 for sealing the opening of nozzles; a the cap member internal absorber 500 that is disposed in the cap member to retain liquid; a refilling ejection unit that ejects the liquid to the cap member form the nozzles; and a tubing pump 211 that sucks the liquid from the cap member, wherein based on a dryness measuring unit for measuring dryness in the cap member 82, and the dryness measured by the measuring unit, first operation for driving the refilling rejection unit, and second operation for driving a sucking unit, concurrently with or prior to the execution of the refilling ejection are performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
