The present invention relates to a device for the insulation design of a high voltage DC transmission (HVDC) system. The device includes a credible accident state voltage calculating part calculating an insulation voltage level of an AC part of the HVDC system in a credible accident state based on system data of an insulation base model of the HVDC system; a case analyzing part calculating the maximum insulation voltage level by analyzing a case by using the insulation voltage level of the AC part of the HVDC system in the credible accident state; and a rated insulation level calculating part applying the maximum insulation voltage level to the insulation base model of the HVDC system, and calculating a rated insulation level of the HVDC system by executing insulation design in the insulation base model, to which the maximum insulation voltage level is applied. |
