METHOD FOR INCREASING PLANT DISEASE RESISTANCE USING OSWRKY67 GENE FROM ORYZA SATIVA AND THE PLANT THEREOF

The present invention relates to a method for increasing disease resistance of a plant using an OsWRKY67 gene from Oryza sativa L., and to the plant thereby. According to the present invention, it is possible to increase resistance to blast disease and bacterial leaf blight of the plant by over-expressing the gene from Oryza sativa L. through inserting the gene into an expression vector for plant transformation, thereby promoting growth and eventually offering effects of increasing yield. Therefore, the method and the plant of the present invention can be effectively applied for breeding new variety of plants.
