The present invention relates to an FWP core and a method for manufacturing the same. The present invention enables an optical film to be wound in a roll shape and stores the optical film. More specifically, the present invention has a reinforcement unit positioned between an inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface of the FWP core and both end parts of the FWP core to maintain sufficient impact strength and durability and thermal resistance of the FWP core. Moreover, the FWP core and the method for manufacturing the same prevent the optical film from being deformed and damaged due to dust or foreign substances while reducing overall weight of the FWP core.
