The present invention relates to a vehicle control apparatus and a control method thereof. The vehicle control apparatus comprises: a body unit having an outer frame which forms an appearance of a vehicle and an inner frame to allow a user to get thereon; a detection unit detecting an input of a user from at least one detection area which is formed in the body unit; and a control unit driving at least one of feasible functions in the vehicle based on at least one among a position of the detection area wherein an input of the user is detected and an input with respect to the detection area.
