FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to braces, abdominal supports and waists. The preventative brace comprises a back made of an inextensible fabric with two borders attached thereto, upper and lower rods made of a viscoelastic textile with Velcro fasteners on their free ends. The borders are configured in the form of longitudinally grooved plates each enclosing a side surface of lower back and iliac wings; each plate within the lower portion has a lateral concavity inside and configured resting on an iliac crest. The rods are attached at the top and at the bottom to a front edge of the plate. The device comprises an inextensible belt at the level of the concavity of the plates. An outer surface of the belt in a projection of the front edge of the plate has an attached loop element of the Velcro fastener, whereas a hook element is provided on a free end of the belt to be stretched through a buckle attached to the other end of the belt and fastening the belt elements together.EFFECT: reducing a rate of complications of lateral, or side lumbar discal hernia by creating and using a simplified brace structure providing the more effective prevention of frontal excessive lumbar curvatures.8 cl, 7 dwg |
