FIELD: engines and pumps.SUBSTANCE: claimed ICE comprises two cylinders fitted on each of parallel shafts. Every pair of said cylinders houses two pistons rigidly coupled by the plate. Said plate has transverse cutout with two guides for crosshead with bearings for crankshaft journal to slide there over. Rigid holding of crankshaft in bearings arranged on both sides of said plate allows avoiding of the TDC effects owing to crankshaft journals running in the crosshead internal bearings with alternation between working strokes through 90 degrees. Free transverse displacement of the crosshead without lateral pressure on the walls of cylinders reduces the wear and ups the engine efficiency.EFFECT: reduced wear and increased engine efficiency.2 dwg
