The invention provides a passenger conveyor armrest detection device and method, and a program. The passenger conveyor armrest detection device is capable of determining degradation according to surrounding parts of a tensile part. The passenger conveyor armrest check device detects an armrest through a fluoroscopic image generated through fluoroscopy of the armrest of a passenger conveyor. The passenger conveyor armrest check device comprises an image data input part (21) acquiring the fluoroscopic image generated through taking information indicative brightness as pixels, a coloring processing part (25) converting the pixels forming the fluoroscopic image to color information according to a color switching table with correspondence of brightness and color and thus generating a colored image, and a degradation determining part (28) determining the degradation of the armrest according to the colors forming each pixel of the colored image. |
