A method of displaying instant messaging messages comprises steps of: determining whether an instant messaging message to be displayed contains a hyperlink; upon determining that the instant messaging message contains a hyperlink, checking if the hyperlink complies with a given rule, and retrieving brief information corresponding to the hyperlink in accordance with said rule after checking that the hyperlink complies with a given rule; inserting a control element filling the inserted control element with the obtained brief information and displaying the instant messaging message and the control element filled with the brief information corresponding to the hyperlink.EFFECT: high efficiency of displaying instant messaging messages.14 cl, 5 dwg |
