PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjustment method, focus adjustment device and focus adjustment program that attain accuracy improvement of an AF.SOLUTION: A focus adjustment method in a focus adjustment device moving a lens by a prescribed amount of shift and adjusting a focus of an image to be photographed by a plurality of image pickup elements via the lens is configured to: calculate first and second amounts of shift on the basis of each image data on a left image and a right image in first and second shift-amount calculation areas of a photographing area having the plurality of image pickup elements arranged; cause a first coordinate conversion unit to perform a coordinate conversion of first and second amounts of shift on a linear coordinate to first and second vectors on a circumference coordinate, respectively; cause an average value calculation unit to calculate an average value of the first and second vectors; cause a second coordinate conversion unit to perform a coordinate conversion of the average value on the circumference coordinate to an average value on the linear coordinate, and calculate the post-coordinate converted average value as an amount of shift causing the lens to move; and make the focus of the image adjusted on the basis of the calculated amount of shift. |
