PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method that can give excellent low-temperature fixability, improvement of the problem of rubbing fixability of a halftone image and stains of a sheet, and excellent thin sheet separability, in an image forming method employing a fixation device having cooling means for separating a sheet from a heating member.SOLUTION: An image forming method employs a fixation device having: a heating member for heating a sheet carrying a toner image; a pressure member that causes a nip part for sandwiching a sheet carrying a toner image to contact with the heating member to fix the image on the sheet; and cooling means for cooling a sheet ejected from the nip part to separate the sheet from the heating member. In the method, the toner that forms the toner image includes a binder resin containing at least a polyester resin, and contains, as a raw material monomer constituting the polyester resin, saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acid as a carboxylic component; the number average molecular weight and main peak molecular weight of the polyester resin is 4,000 to 7,000 and 7,000 to 12,000; and the main peak molecular weight of the toner is 11,000 or more. |
