The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for setting a communications link using electric field communications in an electronic device. The method for setting a communications link comprises the following steps: setting an electric filed communications link with a second electronic device; checking connection setting information with the second electronic device through the electronic communications link; and setting a communications link according to a first communications method with the second electronic device by using the connection setting information.
