PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which precision improvement of a photoelectric conversion device operation and identification of a start position of a pixel row being read were not possible.SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion device has a pixel part including effective pixel rows and reference pixel rows containing a plurality of pairs of reference pixels each formed by adjacently arranging a first reference pixel and a second reference pixel. The first and second reference pixels output reference signals of mutually different signal level independent of incident light intensity.
