PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance assisting device which prevents rapid deceleration when a conveying person releases one hand from an operation part.SOLUTION: A conveyance assisting device is used when a conveying person conveys an object, and comprises: a drive part for assisting the conveyance of the object; an operation part having a left operation input part and a right operation input part to which operations by a left hand and a right hand of the conveying person to the drive part are inputted; a control part 4 for controlling the drive part in accordance with each operation amount inputted to the left operation input part and the right operation input part; a left hand detection part 2i for detecting whether or not the left hand of the conveying person is in contact with the left operation input part; and a right hand detection part 2j for detecting whether or not the right hand of the conveying person is in contact with the right operation input part. The control part 4 controls the drive part to decelerate at a predetermined deceleration if one of the left hand and right hand of the conveying person is detected to be not in contact with the operation input part by the left hand detection part 2i and the right hand detection part 2j. |
