PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for producing a high-hardness cellulose acylate film.SOLUTION: A production method for a cellulose acylate film comprises: forming a web by flow-casting a polymerizable composition on a support, where the composition contains a cellulose acylate, a polymerizable compound, and a thermal polymerization initiator having a 10-hour half-life temperature in the range from 60°C to 150°C; and polymerizing the polymerizable compound contained in the formed web, where the thermal polymerization is performed by means of a heat treatment that involves heating the formed web to 120°C or higher. The present invention also pertains to a cellulose acylate film, a polarizing plate, and an image display device. |
