PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner configured to adjust a mirror angle highly accurately in only one direction necessary for adjustment with simple configuration, and an image forming apparatus including the optical scanner.SOLUTION: An optical scanner includes a light source section, a polygon mirror, a plane mirror, and a mirror adjustment mechanism. The mirror adjustment mechanism includes a mirror holding member having: a contact surface including one or more first support projections in point contact or line contact to a reflection surface of the plane mirror, on the same straight line; and a mirror receiving section including a second support projection in point contact with the reflection surface of the plane mirror. The mirror holding member is rotated while maintaining a contact state between the plane mirror and the first support projections, and a contact state between the mirror receiving section and the contact surface, to adjust an angle of the plane mirror in only one direction, by using a straight line connecting contact points between the plural first support projections and the plane mirror, as a rocking axis. |
