PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of determining conditions of a network to be connected with the communication device before installation of the communication device.SOLUTION: A communication device that communicates with the other communication device via a network, comprises: a communication unit that sequentially communicates a synchronization message via the network; a deriving unit that sequentially derives a propagation delay time from the other communication device via the network in response to the communication of the synchronization message; and a determination unit that determines conditions of the network depending on a statistical value of the sequentially derived propagation delay time.
