PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control message structure that contains a structure needed to communicate various parameters for an uplink or downlink MU (multi-user)-MIMO (multiple input multiple output) transaction.SOLUTION: A control message structure 300 includes two portions, which are a first portion having control parameters for all STAs (stations) and a second portion having control parameters specific to each STA. The structure allows an AP (access point) to send a single control message to a plurality of stations with sufficient information for each STA to be part of the MU-MIMO transaction. Thus, a single frame structure operates effectively for both uplink and downlink MU-MIMO communications.
