PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system allowing intuitive operation to be input by an input device in a configuration where the input device and a display device are separated.SOLUTION: A display system comprises: a projector 100 displaying an image based on image data on a screen; a touch screen 53 receiving operation; an operation detection section 55 detecting the operation with respect to the touch screen 53; and a portable terminal 10 having a display panel 52 displaying the image. The projector 100 transmits at least a part of the image data of the image displayed on the screen to the portable terminal 10. The portable terminal 10 transmits the operation data corresponding to a position of the operation detected by the operation detection section 55 to the projector 100 while displaying at least the part of the image data on the display panel 52. The projector 100 displays the image based on the operation data.
