PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for cutting smoothly a cut surface of glass by utilizing a property carried originally by the glass, based on a device having a simple structure without requiring a large-scale device.SOLUTION: A sheet glass cutting method for parting a sheet glass 1 by having steps for: making a cut 3 on the outer peripheral surface 2 of the sheet glass 1; applying a pressing force by blowing a fluid 5 onto the cut; and applying a thermal stress along a progression direction of the cut by generating a temperature difference simultaneously between the cut and the sheet glass 1. |
