The present invention is directed to an insert attachment mechanism (100) for detachably attaching a cutting insert (2) to an insert attachment part (21) of a tool body (3). This insert attachment mechanism is provided with an adjustment member (30) and a wedge member (10). The adjustment member (30) is arranged to the inside of the cutting insert in the insert attachment part (21), so as to act thereon. The adjustment member may be advanced or retracted in the direction of the center axis of a screw member (40), by turning the screw member. The wedge member, together with the cutting insert, is arranged to the outside of the adjustment member in the insert attachment part, and is attached so as to exert pushing force on the cutting insert and the inside wall surface of the insert attachment part. The wedge member (10) is configured such that the screw member (40) is accessible from outside the wedge member. |
