The purpose of the present invention is to provide a firing tool that can shorten the heat-up time and cool-down time during firing, and that is resistant to undesirable deformation. A firing tool is provided with: a frame-like metallic base (3) that has a first principal surface (31) and a second principal surface (32) which is the surface on the underside of the first principal surface (31), and that surrounds a ventilation part (3a); and a metallic mesh (4) that is secured to the metallic base (3) so as to cover the ventilation part (3a) on the side of the first principal surface (31) of the metallic base (3). The metallic base (3) and metallic mesh (4) are primarily comprised of nickel.
