The present invention relates to a rear camera device for a vehicle. The rear camera device is capable of eliminating noise due to the drive of a conventional motor by allowing an advancing motion of a rear camera to be carried out through the operation of a solenoid. In addition, when the stop or reverse gear stage is determined by releasing the press of a shift button in a state where a transmission lever is positioned at the stop or reverse gear stage, the advancing motion of the rear camera is to be carried out, thereby limiting unnecessary advancing motions of the rear camera.
